Life Lately Vol. 2
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 5 months in to 2019. The last update that I had about my life was in December of 2018 and definitely a lot has happened since then. We welcomed the new year with a quaint family dinner at our new house, I attended a purity ball in our church where I wore a lovely navy blue evening gown, re-ignited my love for Jesus at a church conference, celebrated my 26th birthday and recently went to Michigan with the family for Easter long weekend! What a way to start the year!
Lately though, let’s say from the start of April to this month of May, I’ve noticed a lot has changed in my goals and lifestyle. So I want to share to you some of what I have been doing lately in life:
As some of you may know, I just graduated from a Human Resources course in college last year. Recently though, what I have been studying is far different than what I have graduated on – which is finance. I’m studying to become a life insurance agent here in Canada. I know, I know, it’s another shift from being in nursing back in the Philippines, to Human Resources here in college and being a recent graduate at that! But I’d like to think of myself as a Multi-potentialite though, ever learning in this journey called life.
Did you know I’m almost 7 years since I’ve landed in Canada? I’ll be 7 years on May 11th! So what better way to celebrate than to apply for citizenship to be an official Canadian? These 7 long years have been tough to me, but through it all I could never leave this country. It has blessed me with so much that I have to be thankful for. Thanks to God that I can live in this country and its bounty.
This might come as a shock to some people, but I am thinking of not getting married nor have children for that matter in the future. It’s just too risky. Knowing my heart condition and my personality, to be honest I do not want to meet my future in-laws if ever I have a boyfriend. Also, children especially babies, scare me. Sorry but I am not a kid-person nor having a relationship is not in my priority. And yes, it’s for the long haul.
I am lately feeling all sorts of things. I mean, there was a week, actually two weeks that I was just restless. I wanted to feel. I wanted to know answers. I wanted to just be able to be human. But thank the Lord, He gave me an answered prayer. Which lead me to feel at peace, and be happy. Truly, when you cast your cares to Him, He will answer with a Yes and Amen.
So that’s what’s up in my life lately. I didn’t really want to add photos this time so my writings will be raw and have more meaning when my readers (you) read it.
‘Til next time.
